Community Involvement

At EHTC, we are active in the community. As a corporate citizen, EHTC strongly believes in the vitality of the Grand Rapids area. We recognize that a well-rounded business is measured not only by profitability, customer satisfaction, and professional growth, but also by its role in the community it shares. By joining together, we know we can make a difference in the lives of others.

Chipping for Charity Golf Outing

describe the image

Since 1987, we have hosted an annual charity golf outing. Our golf outing, Chipping for Charity, provides an opportunity to help our community by donating to a worthy, local charity and enjoying a day of golf, fun, and camaraderie. Participants may golf, attend the reception, sponsor a sign at one of the tees, donate to the charity, or donate door prizes.

In 2016, Women's Resource Center was the 29th Annual Chipping for Charity recipient. Chipping for Charity was held on October 19th (rescheduled due to a rain delay on September 21) and raised $11,300 for Women's Resource Center. This organization has been in West Michigan since 1973 and was one of the first in the nation to be a leading, community-based organization dedicated to promoting women’s professional and personal development. Their mission is to “improve women’s workplace and economic opportunities.” In 2015, Women’s Resource Center was able to positively impact 594 women who utilized their services, which rippled outward to benefit 512 children living in these households.

On September 23, 2015, $10,000 was raised for Ele's Place.

On September 18, 2013 approximately $6,000 was raised for South End Community Outreach Ministries (SECOM).

On September 19, 2012, approximately $10,400 was raised for Hospice of Michigan James B. Fahner M.D. Pediatric Hospice Care Program.

On September 21, 2011, $8,828 was raised for for the Family Hope Foundation.
