EHTC chooses a different local charity each year to donate the proceeds of our annual Chipping for Charity Golf Outing. In 2011, at our 25th annual event, we raised $8,828 for the Family Hope Foundation.
If you have a favorite charity you would like to see benefit from this outing, we would love to hear about it!
Some guidelines we use for selecting a nonprofit charity are:
- The money would significantly impact it
- The money would stay locally
- EHTC would be able to get a list of individuals to send invitations to
- The organization would participate in the event (with volunteers, etc.)
Please submit the following information from the potential recipient in order to be considered:
- Most recent annual financial statements
- Copy of Form 990
- Literature explaining what the organization does
- Board of directors listing
- How the money would be used
- Whether or not we can send invitations to people on your mailing list
- If/how many of your organization's volunteers would be willing to participate (6-8 typically required)
Deciding which charity will benefit is always difficult because there are so many worthy causes, but this is also a rewarding task for us at EHTC because it is one area where we truly pride ourselves in giving to the community!
