Michael T. Tamm is a Shareholder and Advisor to the Board of Directors at Echelbarger, Himebaugh, Tamm & Co., P.C. (EHTC). Mike has worked with a variety of companies involved in the the areas of distribution, service, wholesale, retail, manufacturing, construction, finance, real estate, professional and nonprofit. He works closely with business owners in goal-setting, strategic planning, organizational issues, succession planning, executive compensation and retirement planning. He also assists companies with their financial activities and has worked with companies in acquisitions, mergers and sales.

He represented clients before various tax authorities on a variety of issues. He has acted as an expert witness before the U.S. District Court, testified before Circuit Court, Probate Court and Michigan Tax Tribunal, and worked on cases that were before the U.S. Tax Court.

Mike worked for a “Big Four” international public accounting firm. Mike spent five years with the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Agent and was a liaison with the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He has served on the faculty of Davenport University and on their Accounting Department’s Curriculum Advisory Board.

Mike is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the West Michigan Estate Planning Council, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).  He was previously involved in the Personal Financial Planning Committee of the MACPA.
