Background and Philosophy

Echelbarger, Himebaugh, Tamm & Co., P.C. (EHTC), a professional corporation was established in 1977 by Dennis M. Echelbarger. Since that time, our Firm has grown to become one of the largest, most successful, local accounting firms in the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, and we are a recognized leader in the business community. Our success is based on building partnering relationships with our customers. We are large enough to serve a wide diversity of customers but small enough to maintain personalized attention.

EHTC has been a member of the Partnering for CPA Practice Success (PCPS) of the American Institute of CPA's since 1977. This is a voluntary quality control organization that requires firms to be peer reviewed every three years.  Echelbarger, Himebaugh, Tamm & Co., P.C. has gone through seven peer reviews and has received unqualified opinion reports each time. EHTC's professional team is highly trained to provide technical and consulting services in the areas of accounting, taxes, and strategic planning to nonprofit, profit and service organizations and related entities. Professional training and education is acquired by team members through participation in and presentation of educational programs conducted both in-house and state- and nation-wide sponsored by national, state, and local professional societies and associations.
