29th Annual Chipping for Charity Results
Since 1987, EHTC has hosted an annual charity golf outing known as Chipping for Charity. Chipping for Charity provides an opportunity to help our community by donating to a worthy, local charity and enjoying a day of golf, fun, and camaraderie. Participants may golf, attend the reception, sponsor a sign at one of the tees or contests, or donate to the charity. We have raised over $250,000 in our Chipping for Charity events since 1987!
In 2016, the local charity chosen to be the 29th Annual Chipping for Charity recipient was Women's Resource Center.
On September 21, 2016, $11,300 was raised to benefit Women's Resource Center.
This organization has been in West Michigan since 1973 and was one of the first in the nation to be a leading, community-based organization dedicated to promoting women’s professional and personal development. Their mission is to “improve women’s workplace and economic opportunities.” In 2015, Women’s Resource Center was able to positively impact 594 women who utilized their services, which rippled outward to benefit 512 children living in these households.
Funds raised will:
- Underwrite the monthly Skills for Success employment preparation class
- Provide a jumpstart to women’s job search, helping them to learn the techniques and skills necessary to secure and retain employment in today’s market
- Additional classes/workshops as needed to help women build computer skills, basic academic skills and personal/career development topics
A special thank you to our sponsors and donors!
