David G. Echelbarger, CPA

David G. Echelbarger is a Shareholder and the President at Echelbarger, Himebaugh, Tamm & Co., P.C. (EHTC). David first joined EHTC in 1987 as a tax intern. After graduating from Aquinas College in 1988 with a B.A. degree in Accounting, he worked in the Accounting and Auditing department while developing EHTC's Technology Solutions division.

David is responsible for the vision and direction of EHTC. As the leader of the firm's management team, David has a significant role in managing the operations and business development at EHTC. He also heads the Health Care Services team and continues to advise clients in various industries. In addition to his extensive tax and accounting experience, David has over 16 years of experience in technology consulting and implementation. He specialized in the development and implementation of automated accounting and finance systems in the areas of distribution, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and non-profit organizations.

David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Information Technology Alliance (ITA). He is a member of the board of directors for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), is Chairman of the MACPA Mid-Size and Large Firms Forum, and serves on the MACPA Michigan Turnaround Task Force Committee. He is also on the board of trustees for a nonprofit organization, Gerontology Network. He is committed to servicing west Michigan’s non-profit community as shown by his past participation on numerous non-profit boards.

David and EHTC have been recognized by Accounting Today, Accounting Technology, and Microsoft Corporation for their contributions to the industry. David was also recognized by Business Direct Weekly as a Business Leader Under 40 in West Michigan.
