Assurance Senior

EHTC is seeking to fill a full-time, experienced Assurance Senior position. Due to recent growth in the Assurance Department, this is a newly created position. As a rapidly growing midsize accounting firm in West Michigan, we combine deep industry experience, comprehensive accounting and advisory services with a strong commitment to personal service. This position would be an in-charge at EHTC, working closely with clients while reporting back to Managers and Partners. The position includes minimal travel, great work-life balance and a progressive firm culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Assurance Manager and Partner on all phases of the engagement, including scheduling, planning, fieldwork, communications with the client and wrap-up through report issuance

  • Delegates work to staff according to their experience and provides on-the-job training to assist in development of other team members

  • Researches and resolves complex accounting issues

    Essential Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of audit experience in Public Accounting with prior in-charge experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
  • Thorough knowledge and experience planning and coordinating stages of an audit or review of a private company’s financial statements for manufacturing, distribution, and several other industries
  • Knowledge of internal controls, professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to make decisions
  • Strong skills in oral/written communication, project management, research and general accounting

Tax Manager

EHTC has experienced significant growth over the past few years and is seeking a full-time, experienced Manager for our Tax Department to help facilitate this continuing progress. As a rapidly growing midsize accounting firm in West Michigan, we combine deep industry experience, comprehensive accounting and advisory services with a strong commitment to personal service. This position is hands-on managing EHTC’s client engagements while reporting back to Partners and Senior Management. Duties for this position include involvement in all phases of client engagement – the execution of the engagement letter, assisting staff, performing technical research, reviewing returns and communicating with the client throughout the entire process. As a full-service public accounting firm providing business solutions, EHTC is able to offer our people opportunity and experience in a full complement of industry-specific functions.

  • Our ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of public accounting experience in a tax environment, with a concentrated focus on complicated returns involving individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts and tax-exempt entities. This includes multi-state taxation among all entity types

  • Delegates work to staff according to their experience and capabilities in conformance with the planning documents described above

  • Reviews the tax working papers, tax returns and determines that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter

  • Develops and maintain client relationships and ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved

  • Provides overall leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to staff

  • Develops business by expanding existing relationships with clients, maintaining personal networks, and participating in civic, charitable and professional organizations

Essential Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting

  • Excellent MS Office experience

Software Developer

Do you enjoy working with a variety of clients to develop custom applications that impact business process?  SBS Group Grand Rapids, a software consulting practice at EHTC, is looking for a Software Developer to work in our expanding ERP/CRM practice. 

SBS Group is an award winning Microsoft Dynamics Master VAR, with a network of over 45 offices and 200 plus consultants. 

As a Software Developer, you will use your technical skills and understanding of business process to support the development of applications that work with Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Cloud and CRM software solutions.  You will be working with our Lead Developer to write code and support existing code deployed at various clients. 

Your technical skills will be used to deliver the technical aspects of a project, which may include data integrations, .Net plugins, JavaScript, custom web pages and portals.  You will be required to have a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL. 

As a Software Developer, you will be expected to have 3 years of experience with one or two of the following languages, ASP.NET, HTML 5, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.    

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test ASP.NET programming, based on design and requirements
  • Write clean, logical, high-quality code
  • Assist in writing mock up specifications, testing and deployment of custom applications
  • Support our lead developer with development and testing
  • Help resolve errors and issues with existing base of code, including 3 EHTC owned software programs
  • Make changes to custom code when upgrades to ERP or CRM occurs

Skills and Experience: 

  • Must be CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 3 years of development experience with ASP.NET and SQL
  • Microsoft Certifications a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity of relational database concepts and SQL
  • Experience with enterprise implementation and roll out experience including large data migration
  • Experience with data integration tools

Dynamics ERP Consultant

Do you enjoy helping organizations improve business processes with technology?  Are you driven to provide value and use your expertise to solve issues? 

SBS Group Grand Rapids, is looking for a full time software consultant experienced in working with Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions.  Background in Dynamics GP or SL is preferred.

As a Dynamics GP/SL Consultant you will be in a client facing role with a primary responsibility of understanding and identifying current and future needs in a variety of business environments.  A solid understanding of business process in finance, budgeting, inventory, distribution, payroll and sales order process is required.  A strong understanding of accounting best practices and business acumen are essential.  An understanding of project/cost based accounting is a plus.

As a Dynamics GP/SL Consultant, your expertise and knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics product features and ancillary add on software options will be critical for identifying process improvement opportunities for our clients.  EHTC consultants are hands on and interact over the phone and in person to implement and support software solutions that improve business processes.  Your expertise will be needed in planning, design, implementation, and training and on-going support of Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions.

A key skillset required to support our clients, is an understanding of business process and the ability to define and document various business processes in finance (GL, AP, AR, PO), financial close, order fulfillment, inventory management, payroll, cash management and cost/project accounting.

Responsibilities:

Resolve customer's functional support issues related to the Microsoft Dynamics GP and SL application in the modules of Financial Core, Distribution, Manufacturing, HR/Payroll, Project, and Reporting.  Resolve support issues related to custom in-house developed applications and integrations, and perform small projects and tasks for clients such as:

  • Report creation using Crystal Reports, SSRS, FRx or Management Reporter Client workstation installs
  • Remote training on core Dynamics GP/SL modules
  • Producing quality deliverables and completing assigned tasks within the given budget
  • Demonstration of adaptability, tact, proactive communications to gain the respect of our clients
  • Support internal development resources who have limited knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP/SL
  • Test custom code developed by our team

Requirements:

  • Must be CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK in the US
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Accounting, MIS or related field.
  • An understanding of business process and the ability to define and document various business processes in finance (GL, AP, AR, PO), financial close, order fulfillment, inventory management, payroll and cash management
  • 3 years’ experience in a Microsoft Dynamics ERP support/consultant role
  • Experience with Dynamics GP or SL modules: Financial Core & Distribution
  • Ability to learn new products and demonstrate the value of Add On software solutions
  • Good understanding of server and workstation hardware desired
  • Experience creating reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, FRx or Management Reporter
  • Great communication, people management and problem solving skills
  • High degree of customer service acumen required
  • Ability to travel to local clients 10% of the time or less
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment running multiple tasks under tight deadlines
