Meet Ethan!

CPA | Tax Manager

Ethan Rickelmann, CPA, is a Tax Manager at EHTC joining the team in 2014 initially as an intern in the field of finance/business. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting in 2015 and earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 2017. 

Ethan’s focus as a Tax Manager is primarily on corporate taxes and reviewing tax returns. Additionally, Ethan has completed hundreds of Form 8594, which is an Asset Acquisition Statement for companies who are buying or selling a group of assets. He is able to assist with these asset deals, where the original owner(s) still own the business but the assets are purchased by another company, as well as stock deals, where different owners have purchased the company stock.

By utilizing special software for accountants, Ethan is able to stay up-to-date with the filing requirements for these companies and is able to provide consultation to these clients in regards to buying and selling. He also has a knack for problem solving and believes training and development are the most important aspects of his work. 

He really enjoys the people and the culture at EHTC and tells those interested in this field of work to really be sure that it’s what you want to do. 

When he isn’t working, you can find Ethan playing soccer, watching or playing sports, reading, or watching TV.

    As a certified CPA, Ethan is able to speak to the IRS directly, on behalf of his clients, and assist them with many other potential tax challenges.
