Meet Becca!
CPA | Client Accounting Services Associate
Becca Jacobson, CPA, Client Accounting Services Associate, supports a variety of clients with their day-to-day accounting needs. For some clients, she manages their QuickBooks accounts, handling transaction entry and the month-close process, including any adjustments needed to comply with GAAP and each client’s specific accounting policies. For others, she handles accounts payable and receivable when a client doesn’t have someone internal to manage it, or checks financials and flags anything worth bringing to a client’s attention. She regularly meets with clients to walk through the CAS team’s findings and recommendations.
Originally from Cadillac, Becca went on to attend Grand Valley State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree before completing a Master of Science in Accounting. She joined EHTC as an intern in January of 2025 and transitioned to a full-time Associate role after graduating. Becca appreciated that the shift to full-time felt smoother than expected, crediting her manager, Angela, and the broader team for gradually building up her responsibilities before the official transition.
Among Becca’s favorite parts of the job is onboarding new clients and helping build the processes that come with it. She likes the creativity involved in designing a solution tailored to each client rather than following a set formula. Becca works across a mix of client teams at EHTC and has had the chance to work directly with most members of the CAS department. She values the different perspectives that come with that variety, noting that every reviewer has their own preferences and that learning to navigate them has made her a better accountant.
Becca loves to stay active and spend time outdoors. She grew up mountain biking and competed on a fat-tire mountain biking team in high school. These days, she prefers more-casual trails and games of pickleball. She also has a background in music — playing clarinet, saxophone, and piano — and is a summertime band camp instructor.
