Meet Ben!
Tax Senior Associate
Ben Cengic is a Tax Senior Associate at EHTC, where he prepares and reviews a variety of business and individual tax returns and supports the team with tax research projects.
After graduating from Davenport University with a BBA in Accounting, Ben spent three and a half years at a Grand Rapids area accounting firm, building a well-rounded tax foundation from the start of his career. He brings a flexible, open-minded approach to his work and is comfortable across business and personal returns alike. Looking ahead, he is interested in developing a specialty in trust returns, an area where EHTC's experienced team gives him plenty to learn from. Ben is also currently working toward his CPA certification.
Ben is the first member of his family born in the United States. His family comes from Bosnia and Germany, and Bosnian was his first language growing up. He returns overseas to visit family regularly and intends to keep sharing his heritage with the next generation.
A lifelong soccer player, Ben played collegiately at Davenport at right back and still competes year-round, playing outdoor and indoor seasons along with the occasional tournament. When he's not on the pitch, he stays active with running, pickleball, and basketball, watches just about any sport he can, and spends summer days at the lake.
