Meet Jessica!
Tax Processor
Jessica Musser is a Tax Processor at EHTC, where she plays a key role in the tax workflow from start to finish. She prepares engagement letters that kick off each return, then verifies completed returns before they reach the client, confirming that the return type, numbers, and details are accurate from the first check to the moment it's sent. Her attention to detail helps ensure every business and individual client receives polished, accurate deliverables.
Coming to EHTC with a people-focused background, Jessica boasts 16 years of experience in financial planning and flexible spending account administration. At a large financial planning firm, she worked directly for the firm's investment specialist while supporting a network of more than 20 agents, an experience that taught her to work smoothly with many personalities and moving parts at once. Earlier in her career, she spent a year in Colorado as an assistant at an insurance agency before returning home to Michigan. Jessica made the move into tax earlier this year, spending a busy season as the administrative link between clients and preparers at a local firm, gathering documents and tracking down missing information to keep returns on schedule. That combination of client communication and process management made joining EHTC's Tax Operations team a natural next step.
Jessica's story starts in Richland Center, Wisconsin, but her dad's career in the automotive foundry industry took the family through Texas, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas before they landed in West Michigan. Jessica and her husband bought her family childhood property over a decade ago and have been Lowell residents ever since.
Outside of work, Jessica has 3 children that keep her busy. Several weekends in the summer are all about racing. Jessica's son races vintage modifieds in the VROA series, with Berlin Raceway in Marne as his home track. Racing runs deep in the family; her husband once crewed for an ASA race team, and Jessica spent years traveling to tracks across the country, later serving as part of her son's pit crew with her husband and their two daughters. These days she and her family are happy to cheer from the stands. A former volleyball and softball player, Jessica still loves volleyball with her girls, time in the family pool, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
