Libby Stephens, CPA, is a Tax Senior Associate at EHTC. She works across individual, corporate, and partnership returns, preparing and reviewing work alongside the tax team to keep engagements moving smoothly from staff to partner review.

Libby earned her undergraduate degree from Elmhurst University in the Chicago area, where she double majored in Accounting and Spanish, and received her master's degree from Clemson University. Clemson builds CPA exam prep directly into its graduate program, and Libby took full advantage, passing all four exam sections in roughly six months and earning her CPA certification right alongside her degree.

Her career began at Plante Moran in Grand Rapids, where she specialized in international tax, drawn to the intercultural mix of working with clients around the world. From there, she moved into consulting, supporting due diligence and cross-border projects that helped companies establish operations in new countries. Libby later joined a smaller firm focused on service-industry small businesses and individual returns, then spent a year running her own practice, serving independent professionals like photographers and food truck operators who are often priced out of quality accounting work.
