Team Member Highlight: Leslie Poot
Leslie Poot is a Recruiting Director at EHTC. She joined the public accounting industry as a Human Resources and Recruiting Professional right out of college and remains in the industry working in various HR/Recruiting positions throughout the years. It has always been a professional goal of Leslie’s to have a career in Human Resources— she finds it both challenging and very rewarding! Leslie says, “I am thankful to have landed in the public accounting industry, and I have enjoyed working with others to support their career goals and growth.”
Leslie’s job role at EHTC focuses on recruiting strategies for both experienced and entry-level hiring. She looks forward to supporting the growth at EHTC and most importantly ensuring the core values remain the foundation of that growth. A part of the job that Leslie always enjoys is making new connections and building new relationships. Her favorite part of working at EHTC is how welcoming, friendly, and willing everyone is to share their experiences!
Outside of the Office
Outside of work, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband of over 20 years and their 2 boys. Her oldest son is away at college (Go Baylor Bears), and she enjoys every moment he is home! Her youngest son is a freshman in high school, and she says they are often traveling and cheering him on from the sidelines during various sports seasons.
Like many other Michiganders, Leslie loves the four seasons in Michigan, although she prefers to admire the winter season from the inside. When she has a free night or weekend during the summer, she really enjoys a round of golf! Leslie’s go-to morning caffeine comes from hot or iced green tea. She says it is a great way for her to start the morning.
