Michigan CPA and Advisory Firm Expands to Traverse City

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.: Michigan CPA and advisory firm EHTC announced today the expansion of its comprehensive services to Traverse City and the greater Northern Michigan region.
Tim Carlson, CPA, Advisory Senior Manager & Market Development, will lead the effort. A Traverse City area resident, Tim is active in the local community, serving on the finance council of his church and a committee supporting Gladhander, an annual fundraiser for Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools.
Before joining EHTC, Tim spent eight years at a Michigan mergers and acquisitions firm, serving private equity clients and their portfolio companies across manufacturing & distribution, construction, business services, government contracting, franchising, and restaurants. He also spent five years owning and operating his own multi-unit Little Caesars franchise before selling the restaurants in spring 2026.
Now, Tim is a relationship leader at EHTC, connecting clients with the right technical experts across accounting, tax, and advisory service offerings. That combination of professional services and business ownership experience shapes his work as an advisor: Tim has sat in the same seat as many of the business owners EHTC serves, and he understands their challenges firsthand.

Tim works closely with EHTC’s Transaction Advisory Services team, preparing Quality of Earnings reports and supporting buy-side and sell-side due diligence for businesses navigating transactions. Beyond deal work, Tim introduces businesses to EHTC’s full range of services, including tax planning, valuation, and client accounting services for growing companies that need expertise without a full internal team.
